Located in the heart of the fourteeners region, these historic creekside cabins were built in the early 1900's, and completely renovated in June 2004, including new plumbing and electric. The cabins are easily accessed by well maintained, paved county roads, and are only 15 minutes from Buena Vista, and 20 minutes from Salida. Unless there is a bad winter blizzard, you can drive right to the cabins without a four-wheel drive vehicle all year long. There are two cabins available to rent either individually or together: Hortense and Cottonwood.
Because of their unique location in between Mt Antero and Mt Princeton, the cabins feel remote, and exotic, with 1500' cliffs rising above the soaking pools. Natural wetlands and a rushing creek surround the property, while Big Horn Sheep and Mountain Goats patrol the nearby cliffs. World class fishing, biking, skiing and hiking are right outside the door. The cabins are sweeeeet!
Each cabin has a hand-shaped private hot spring pool just outside the door. These large soaking pools are fed by a hot spring on the property and are rich in minerals but low in sulfur and have no smell.
These all-season cabins can be rented independently, or as a package, depending upon availability. Come relax creekside! These cabins are truly one of a kind.
